JKD is an art and a philosophy developed by Sijo Bruce Lee. JKD is often considered the first true Mixed Martial Art. Bruce Lee incorporated the the best methods from many arts to provide the tools necessary to win at each range of combat of Punching, Kicking, Trapping and Grappling. It is a very effective system of studying martial arts and we are proud to preserve and develop both the historic system and evolution of a complete fighting system tailored to each individuals needs and abilities.

Muay Thai is the national sport and is a kickboxing art from Thailand. It is often called “the King of the Ring” for its very effective striking techniques. It incorporates boxing, kicking, knees, elbows and clinching techniques into a devastatingly effective system. It can be one our best classes for conditioning and many of our competitors use it as a basis of their MMA foundation.

Kali is a weapon based system, putting emphasis on using anything as a weapon, and translating weapon motions into empty hand. It fights in all ranges from long weapons, sticks, knives, empty hand punching, kicking and grappling. The main difference is that it is mostly trained for self defense and has only in recent times been modified for sport.
